This is true of almost all gear heads, speed junkies or whatever else we are called. It's not just the boats either. Its a small tired low five second drag car that's not quite fast enough. Gotta know what a high four feels like. Or motorcycles that we just can't leave alone. It all about the adrenaline and excitement plus just joy. If you don't get some butterflies when you turn the button loose it's time to put the toy away.
