If I was in that boat, I would be in jail now.

They need to really crack down on the jet skiers, this is a constant reaccrance on all waters! Problem stems from the renters ( weekend warrior ) who rent for a day with there buddy's and they are off heading every direction with no knowledge of water courtesy, and the do's and dont's ! Im not against anyone having a good time on the water as long as they are under control and acknowledge that other watercraft are out there as well !!

Glad everyone was ok !

I probably would have shot that jetskier

it looks as though there might not have been as bad a collision as it could have been.....that jet ski might be one of the ones with "brakes" because they are coming in really fast and slow down really quick when they are topping the wake on the left and are almost at a full stop by the time they cross the right wake

also the fact that the person being pulled goes down (I think because they saw it coming) probably saved them from having broken knees in the worst way, but the ski went right over them and if it has any type of after market fin that could be major back damage.....it looks like the person being pulled was just under the water as well so they possibly got very very lucky overall

the jetski owner would have had a major beating and I would have flat taken their ski from them....I would have just said your **** is mine swim ***** and taken it.....after I pounded them with the fire extinguisher or shot them or both

I'd be in court with a copy of this video. Taking the PWC would just be the start...

Any word on the condition of the wakeboarder? That was a horrible incident to watch. Attempted vehicular homicide comes to mind.

Wobble 07-27-2013 09:52 PM

That sucks, any word on the wake boarder?

This is the response from the wakeboard forum I found the video on.

"Yeah how this happen was messed up; the guy on jet ski is actually the older brother to the girl wakeboarding & I don't really know him. But anyways he was drinking & thought it would be cool to try to scare his sister & yeah the video shows end result. She is fine but was definitely shaken up & luckily the only part that hit jet ski was the board itself."

Thanks, I needed to hear that. Been a bad day.

What a friggin idiot. People simply do not use their brains. Reading the above, it doesn't surprise me alcohol was involved.

When ever someone on a jet ski gets close to me I try and turn the other way or I aim right at them, They will flip you off when you aim at them but it is better IMO then the alternatives. I was driving my friends tripple engine boat and this girl pulled up next to us then all of the sudden turned right at us! Last min she realized what she was doiing but it was close. Another time I was in my hydrostream running at 70 and a guy turned right in front of my. I totally spun the boat out trying to avoid him, guy on shore said he did not know how I missed him and for 5 seconds that seemed like a life time I thought that I did hit him and could not look. The whole inside of my boat was messed up with a seat broken off the base, back seat ejected out of the boat, ancor almost hit my girlfriend it was intense. Another friend was not so lucky. The guy turned at him and hit him in the side and went under my buddies boat and he got hit by the drive. Guy is lucky to be alive and has massive injuries! Jet skies are fun but man why is it that as soon as people get on them it is like they take their brain out of their head!

Great news! Stupid idea to say the least.

Nightlife1970 07-28-2013 10:51 AM

I don't know how people on little lakes deal with it. I do most of my boating on lake Michigan. Most of the time it is too rough for the jet fleas so I don't have to dela with them alot. But I have still had a coupe times where there was a close call because they just do stupid stuff or don't pay attention.

this is proof that darwinism is not always about intelligence......sometimes "strength" and stupidity can take over.....the brother was clearly trying to prevent the more intelligent sibling from reproducing into the future

I'm sure he succeeded in scaring his sister. At least he didn't kill her. What an absolute sh-t for brains idiot. It is time now for there to be mandatory boat licensing as in cars. With an insurance requirement as for cars. No boat or lake lice rental without a valid boaters license.
