3 litre Torquemaster gearcase for Verado 350 sci
HI!
Would it be possible to buy a 4,88 inch dia Torquemaster gearcase, change the original Torquemaster gearshaft with a new Verado gearshaft with smaller splines, and bolt on?
A Torque Master gearcase has the same internals as the Sportmaster, so it should be strong (HD bearing carrier, 19 spline propshaft, etc). As we know the HD gearcase of the Verado 350 sci is big 5,44 inch diameter.
A Torquemaster should offset steering torque (and hopefully help speed) + being smaller adding speed as well.
Cheeers and thanks, Toffen

Hi!
Thanks! The Sportmaster and Torquemaster gearcases have the same internals, so its should be done. Do you know if he used the verado driveshaft in his sportmaster gearcase - or resplined the driveshaft? The easiest for me is to buy a verado driveshaft and replace the sportmaster one with it I presume the waterpump is holding up too?
A TM gearcase should be 2-3 mph faster than the Verado HD gearcase,
