Exclamation Water balloon launchers? Good or bad?

Was tied up last night at a local place and all of the sudden water balloons start falling like rain. Couple of guys had a water balloon launcher and were having some target practice. 2 hit the boat, 1 got a passenger on my boat (she was fine).
I was f*cking pissed! Went down the dock to the offending party's boat and reamed everyone on the boat a new a$$hole.

Don't get me wrong - I love to play, and a little water isn't going to hurt my boat. But if you get hit by one of those things I imagine they could do some damage. I have refused to even allow those things on my boat - who needs the headache if somebody gets hurt?

So...was I out of line? And what do you guys think about them?

How did I miss this???? I must have been dispensing some beads somewhere!!!!

I would have taken it from them and then have them line up like they were in a firing line and let them feel what it's like to get hit by one of those balloons.

I bet they wouldn't be laughing then!!!!

Never fire unless fired upon is my rule. It's not cool to get bombarded without this understanding. You were right to be unhappy.

Fun, but dangerous. I am dead set against them for one reason though, the burst balloons pullute the water your on. You wouldnt throw anything else like that overboard would you ??

Yeah...you missed all the fun! Tom, Scott and Bill saw me coming down the pier and they parted like water so I could go get a piece of those idiots. Big cruiser about 6 boats down.
That was right about the time Freaky was hurling up a lung...I was about to snap some pictures of that event when I got distracted by the balloon fiasco.

On the 4th of July we were cruising through the harbor and we started taking fire from some idiots on a dock with a water baloon launcher. The shooters were teenage girls and I can see them being stupid enough not to know any better, but their parents were next to them lauching. I yelled a few choice words at them and then flagged down the harbor police.

The thing that pissed me off the most was the ones that were hitting the water next to us were splashing salt water inside the boat. People have no clue the kind of money people have invested in their boats.

Got hit in the side of the head 2 years ago. Never saw the kids on the dock. knocked me out of my seat and scared the piss out of me. As far as pollution, I think its almost as bad as smokers throwin their butts out of the car window. It should be illegal.

I would not have one on board. If I am tied up with others that are launching I ask them to stop or I leave. To much chit starts from these things.
