Here is the Arneson Cat a 38’ Wooden Cougar, IMHO was second 38 Cougar! But this one was built in the Philippines by Asia Craft, Not in the UK. Also it was the second Catamaran to have the Arneson Surface drive...
Got off to a rough Start but became a Champion. :) |

Can some one help me copy and paste a picture of myself and Nicky running the PENNZOIL 30' Shadow in 1996? What a phenominal running ROUGH water boat! The 35 Motions and 32 Skaters of the mid and early 90's had nothing for that little 30 Shadow in the rough. Problem is, the boat hated to turn! Too bad we tripped and stuffed while passing Kamikaze for the lead at the worlds in Key West. Turned out he had ILLEGAL motors and we would have won had we just slowed down and taken it a little easier.:rolleyes:Oh well. That's racin'! :D

This is a GREAT thread.... I remember most of these boats like it was yesterday!... Keep em coming....:D

My problem with the Sport as it is Today is Guys like Mr. Adams and others including myself whom do not really have any use for a Mold per say and prefer to build One-Offs. Problem in that being there is no class for us!
Like an “Open Class” 1000 CI limit N.A Engines, and go race! With the cockpit Safety considerations of course. The Building of Custom Race Boats once again .And Racing them. There are two types Here Boat builders and Boat molders. We have forgot where we came From ! :( |
