Now that these marine guys have finally started with turbos..... Maybe they will look around and see what others are doing becuse those engines look like SH!T..... Could have done a much better/cleaner installation than that.

Louie is looking for 170+ in his 33....
See post #27-The numbers also show his slip is 16% and a mile isnt going to be long enough to do what JT did in open water.

Louie's is a smaller/lighter boat, with an even wider tunnel!

This may be a very good set up. While it seems very tall for a traditional super charged motor, turbo motors are very different. Granted I don't know a lot about the turbo set ups, the people I know running them say that the more you load and keep tthe turbo loaded, the faster they will go. They appear to not like to get up in the Rpm range with reduced load. They like taller gears that keep the turbos loaded. DP actually runs a much gear. It seems there is still a lot to learn about Turbo set ups.
Should be an exciting Shoot Out.

Yes there is a lot to learn.Vern Gilbert had Carson Brummit build 2 wicked turbo motors that are going in my old Predator 40' skater. The horsepower and torque from 5000rpms up is crazy.
We will be running it hard on monday and if every thing goes well,it will run at the shootout. That boat is rock solid and i have seen prop slip #s from 3-5%.It should put up a good number.
