Definitely a lot of engineering and great fabrication....but this is arguably a better HD powered boat IMHO.

Should have used a Busa engine, then it would be 174HP instead of 74.

Years ago there was a company turning out kits for aluminum go fast boats. I believe the biggest was 30'. Has anybody ever built one? Or even know what I am talking about?

ratman 08-12-2013 06:36 PM

i remember a company had a thread here on an all alum offshore boat, they finished it and then it kind faded away... no idea what happened to the boat, the build looked awesome, maybe it was too light to really work well offshore...rm

I believe that was a Budwieser recycling/marketing project. Every 24 pack came with a separate page of the plans

selmaaxku 08-12-2013 08:24 PM

I first saw the ad in a car magazine. Then I saw the same ad in Kitplanes magazine. Actually looked like it had nice lines and was layed out well. I believe the biggest had twins and Bravos.

Sorry Phragle for hijacking your thread. Well, not really sorry cause nobody in their right mind drinks Bud intentionally...:picard1:

Like I said he should have used a busa engine cause with a turbo they had made over 600hp!

This guy would have been so much farther ahead just buying a used sea doo or yahama jet boat off craigslist. Theres always tons of them on there.

Rbesola 08-13-2013 07:01 AM

I've been contemplating the idea building like a half scale 40' cat with a pair of s&s motors. Just because itd be awesome!

JRider 08-13-2013 07:52 AM

Why use an air cooled motor in a boat? An old yamaha Vmax 1200 motor would have been much better than an air cooled Vtwin...would have sounded better as well. Sorry harley guys
