Default Anyone know anything on this 32 Hustler?

As some may know I was going to be picking up Dean's 35' Nordic Flame on here but some mishaps happened through no fault of no one and I have to really think about the idea now as the boat has 2 brand new motors in it and naturally the cost has to adjust for that (and it should).

So while I am thinking it over I am also looking back at boats that were in my original price range/idea and I came accross this boat.

1997
175 hrs original
502 mags
flat haul.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any news on it that one should know about. I know the boat has been here in FL for about 3 years the broker said and was in NY area prior to that.

Either way I have a lot ot think about on what I want to do here with the boat situation but this could rule out one thing if there is a checkered past on this boat.

Thanks guys

That's too bad for you and Dean. What did he put in it for power?

Merc racing 500 blue motors.

I am not 100% out yet...just really need to think about it. It adds about 50% more on top of the original price and that's a big jump. Just really need think and go over all the options.

I like this Hustler too (not as much as the Nordic) so it's an idea. I spoke with the broker too and someone to survey the boat as well.

Why are you stuck on black motors? There are soooo many deals out there on 30-35ft boats with merc blue motors in your price range.

I have not seen any really. Not that are not beat to chit with really high hrs.

I really want to stay in the $40-$50k area. I could go more but I would have to use a bank and really don't want too as I am the type that doesn't like to finance anything.

Also this is my first every powerboat. so 70/80mph should be good for a bit.

well maybe not all mercs but atleast 500hp......if you have cash in hand make offers you might be surprised, some people might be asking $60K but need the money and when youre standing there with the check, $40K will take it home. Don't sell yourself short....

I would say these are the only 2 I have any interest at all in but i really am not a big Fountain fan. I like the Cigs but both wayyyyy too heavy for my current truck and have made up my mind I am keep that and not selling it just to get a boat (would rather go smaller boat then new truck).

The 2nd one I like but being in NY is an issue

also I know ZERO about carbs.......when I say zero...i mean zero. I know engines but have only had experience in EFI my whole life (31 yrs old).

That Sutphen looks to be a very nice boat.

LOL, I dig it's classic old school offshore lines, probably because I'm old.
