Trailer Wheel Lugnuts

Does anyone put grease or antiseize on their lugnuts?

I am worried that they might loosen up on their own with something on the threads. But, I just had to change a flat and could barely get the lugnuts off. And I found water in one of them. Must be seeping past the threads.

Any thoughts?

I put whatever is handy on them-same goes for the truck.

As long as they are properly torqued oil, grease or antisieze will not cause any bolt or nut to loosen. Nothing to worry about.

I use anti-seize and torque them. Never a problem.

I have a set of steel chrome-plated wheels with chrome-plated lugnuts. Does 80ftlbs. of torque seem right to you guys?

I can't find any info in my trailer paperwork on proper torque.
