MY WAY Going to Shootout?
 

Anyone know if MY WAY is going to make it to the Shootout? As of yesterday morning (20 Aug) the boat was still in Canada at River Rat Marina in the 1000 Islands on the trailer, looked liked they were doing some kind of work on it when I drove by..

I have a friend that owns the Mystic "Low Altitude " and he posted last nite that he expects to be beat by My Way so he insinuated the its going

BTW how much hp is MyWay

It was prepped for transport and headed down the road around 1pm yesterday. Not sure if they headed straight down but the boat will definitely be there and be the boat to beat!

Well it's good to hear they are enroute.

My guess is 220. The gps data was showing those speeds during the 2011 shootout and my understanding is that the boat has been setup better since prior to the accident last year.

If memory serves me correct My Way's power was bought off the Miss Geico crew and the T55's they were working on were impressive.....Not 100% certain that the Mystic is running the Project X Lycomings but if she is... Post #1

Didn't realize they were that much.

The T55's are rated for 4700 HP in the new Chinooks. I couldn't even begin imagine pushing the sticks down in that Mystic, it was more then enough to pin me to the seat in the 50' Airbone with T53's rated at half that HP...

Kinda funny - if you strap a rocket to your @ss you get a Darwin award - drop 9400hp in turbines into your boat your're envied by almost everyone!

Any word on Sheik Hassan bin Jabor Al-Thani and the Qatar Mystic making an appearance??? As it was being built I believe it was mentioned that it was supposed to have T55's to play with at LOTO and 53's for racing

THAT would be a memorable 25th anniversary for the Shootout if there were two 50 Mystics both burning up the strip with T55's... would also have to make Kilocat get the itch to light the candles on his Nauti!

They should use sand paddle tires for better grip....

hedgehoger the horsepower to weight ratio is where my way would win against the four engine boat.

That is a beautiful looking boat, there is nothing like competition other than winning.

That is one of nicest paint jobs I have seen in awhile. Sort of reminds of a Michigan wolverines helmet
