Popyachts?

Whats the deal here? I have a boat listed and they contacted me wanting my permission to find a buyer....asking my absolute bottom dollar and they would mark it up from there...

I don't have to give them the boat, or make it available for viewing....meaning I shoe it to their prospective buyers....

Anyone ever try them?

try looking at their site... just to look at an add in detail you have to jump thru hoops. hoop jumping is BAD for buisness.

I think there legit but I cant figure out why someone would pay more for a boat listed with them versus a personal BT ad or CL ad, I think they count on peoples ad's expiring and they keep the listing active for a long time so they get the sale? I have my boat listed and they contacted me within 1 day of my CL ad.

POP YACHTS did a good job for me , sold my boat in 7 days, sent weekly reports on how many views of the listing and where they were from, took and posted 65 photos, handled all the closing details quickly..

They sold one of my boats, the only hold up was the buyers financing.

Pop Yachts - delivered a wreck internationally and took no responsibility

Boat was advertised as 'looks brand new' and 'in GREAT condition' and 'only used sparingly' - condition was unbelievably bad, cleats almost pulled out with holes in the fibreglass, rust, fibreglass damaged, oil on seats, tires bald, oh and advertised as a 260hp when it is only 220hp - engine advertised as 2011, actually 2009 - wish I could show you all the photos! Pop yachts saying 'not our problem, deal with the seller.' Thanks for the integrity. They are saying they have no responsibility for what they advertise on their site. They say they want to shock you with their level of customer service..... they certainly did.

they call me every week ..I tell them I don't need them to sell my boats

They called me but I turned them away at the time. I am listing it with a broker but not them, at least not at this time.

Most boats you see on Popyachts you can find on Craigslist or another post of the sort listed by the owner sometimes $10,000 lower in price. I wouldn't do business with them.

Waste of money IMO. You can track ad hits on OSO and Boattrader without the commission. Their website is a ***** to navigate as a buyer. Have to set up an account to look at pics. I've dealt with a few POP agents as a buyer and they didn't know squat about the high performance custom boats they were representing. If you're selling a Bayliner walk-around, fine. Go fast boat, stay away. Good luck.
