Crazy....

Been watching this one for over a decade...interesting boat, but yeah obviously overpriced.

Too bad it doesn't have this version of the 928 32v "Offshore" Marine Engine...

From the feedback - at least the 'Burgee Pin' business is good.

Perlmudder 09-06-2013 12:40 PM

I think personally, the boat is just damn ugly, and over priced. That boat has been on ebay every week for years. However, the fearless 28 which is a porsche design is sick looking.

Crossett 09-06-2013 12:43 PM

That thing is hideous

78CIG24 09-06-2013 01:17 PM

Definitely looks "awkward" when out of the water.... looks more like an escape pod from a starship..LOL

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1272927628.jpg

But, does look a little better in the water at speed...

It also has some neat design ideas like the flip out swim platform (hydraulic operated if memory serves me correctly)...

And the cockpit/helm is not too bad...

Only 3 prototypes of the Porsche Kineo were ever produced and it never came to serial production. I took on the opportunity to restore one of these 3 prototypes. May 2nd, 2014 my original Porsche Kineo will hit the water again, after 18 months of thorough restoration. Check it out here www.myporschekineo.com.

Indy 04-27-2014 11:57 AM

Absolutely hideous.

Kineo 04-27-2014 12:00 PM

But so unique and therefore priceless

inspector747 04-27-2014 01:09 PM

Anyone notice the 150-200 Gallons of gas.... that's a huge fluctuation... Is it 150 or 200? And also that's allot of go-go juice in a 28, If I'm not mistaken aren't most 32' at about 186 or close to it

Kineo 04-27-2014 01:18 PM

It holds 145 Gallons to be exact in order to power the 2 Mercruisers......

FlyenBrian 04-27-2014 01:54 PM

Ouch Indy. He's preserved a cool piece of history. Porsche designers loved all things soft n round. Oedipus complex I suspect. Can't fault the guy for trying to make a buck man.

For sure, but did you actually look at the "Results" page on his website of the restoration?

http://www.myporschekineo.com/Results.html

Like the boat or not, the execution and end results look as top notch as anything built today.

Kudos to anyone that puts that kind of effort into any boat, Bayliner, Cigarette, Outerlimits or whatever.

Cheers,

Dave

Hello Kineo,

the third boat is in Germany (if you didn't buy it). If you send me your contact data, I can forward it to the owner of the third Porsche boat.
