Need Help with Decal Remover

I'm trying to remove some decals from an older boat. Actually got the decals themselves off but am left with the adhesive stuck on the gelcoat. I tried a light application of acetone....no luck. tried gasoline..a litle better but this adhesive is tough. What can I use that won't damage the gelcoat?

3M Adhesive Remover is the &^%$. You will probably have to get it from an auto body supply shop. I used it to take off the black SONIC stickers on my boat.

M1 Remover from Home Depot is also good, but the 3M stuff is better.

Sticker Off

Here's the stuff that I use. Sticker On is good for putting decals on too.

If you don't have a heat gun (set on low), use a hair drier. Just don't hold in one place too long. We do that along with a plastic razor blade to help peal it off. Works great!

Use Goo-Gone

Even works on sled windshields to remove the sticky stuff from last years trail permit.
