Anyone running stainless amrine exhaust tips with internal flaps?
 

I put a set on this spring. Anyone else notice that at idle the flaps make a horrible noise. Kinda like a rattle but LOUD. I did a full throttle run and came to a stop. I was letting it idle for a couple minutes before I shut her down and heard what I thought was my motor knocking! :eek: I was freaking out. Popped my hatch and it sounded like it was at the top of the motor. I told my brother to hit the silent choice so I could hear it. Noise dissappeared. :confused: Hit the switch again, came back. Then I remembered another post where someone had stainless marine tips and pulled their motor because they thought it was knocking. Any one else been scared?

I heard the same noise at idle and was sure I had an internal engine problem. A friend who was with me assured me it was the flappers but I didn't believe him until I got in the water and stuck my hand up the pipe to stop the noise ! Scary moment !
