How do u get a boat off the trailer in the shop?

What's the best way, or ways? So the trailer could be painted and the boat not left in the water.

I took mine off the trailer with a bunch of boat stands and a few large floor jacks, it was an all day time time consuming pain in the azz. After that I ordered a set of Yard arm style jacks from Manning. The boat went back on the trailer in about 5 minutes.

depends on the size of the boat but i do most of them with my car/truck lift,,its rated for 12k so lifting it is no problem..

Put blocks under the transom, jack the front up until the weight is on the blocks, pull the trailer out, lower front onto another block. 10 minutes.

We used the local Marina Yard arms for a day ( 30 pack Bud Light) and set the boat on some Styrofoam blocks till your trailer is ready again .Good luck with your project

everybody sez they use their lift. i betcha if he had a lift he wouldn'ta hadda ask. you have to get the bck on blocks high enough so the weight is off the rollers or bunks. sometimes you can drop fromt of trailer and block it. then raise trailer nose up. sometimes you hafta jack stern up off the trailer. get a buncha cement blocks from lowes. then pieces of wood at the top. 2x4...1x6...something. then jack up front of boat so the trailer can come forward a ways before hitting jack. pull trailer up till it is close to jack. drop boat. move jack. repeat.

the liberal use of high explosives will remove any boat from a trailer......

Start with the front of the trailer as low as it will go, block the back and crank the front of the trailer up. Now block the front and lower the trailer. May have to do this a few times as you slide the trailer forward to clear crossmembers-a floor jack helps get around those.
