Will this thig run that spped with 225,s

Gladhe8er 09-30-2013 06:39 PM

I don't think it will run that with stock 225s. Where did it say they were super up?

turbo rr 09-30-2013 06:57 PM

I saw that boat listed a few months ago and said to myself that there is no way that thing runs 88 with a pair of 225 efi's.

Port Monster 09-30-2013 07:52 PM

Those 225's can be taken to about 280 hp by changing the computers over and doing a little more work.
So at 560 hp would that change your minds?

Pete280 09-30-2013 09:04 PM

wouldn't change it that much, i'd guess 70 max

dereknkathy 09-30-2013 10:47 PM

maybe it's on I95. on a trailer.

I run a 28' Checkmate with twin 2.4L 200's at 71 MPH GPS. With 225 Pro Maxes the boat ran upper 70's..

Nice speeds....are the 2.4's bone stock?

My 1991 26' Thouroughbred (Velocity) was a solid 80+ mph boat with 520 hp twin outboards.
