My parents just went down to visit friends in Lakeland and called me yesterday to inform me that that bought a house there. I personally like fort Myers Cape Coral are much better

Lakeland is nice, just not quite the Gulf access that most boaters want, within a hour boat ride we can be at Marco Island or Port Charlotte, congrats on the new house.

My parents are in Naples Fl, Park Shore area. I don't see too many fast boats in Naples but periodically see a few cats and big boys running from Ft Myers area past Naples. Naples is one of the cleanest towns you'll ever se IMHO.

FMO will down that way a few times this year, we're going to both Naples and to Marco Island this season, so keep an eye out for us, about 30+ boats and yes, Naples is very nice.

Look at the bright side, look at all the money you're saving, like you said things change all the time, you may be back in a boat again, take care.

Even though we love LOTO in the Summer, it's tough to go back anytime from October - March, winters not my thing anymore, I can see why you stayed.
