Astor to Lake Monroe by boat

How long would it take to get from Astor, FL to Lake Monroe by boat? I would like stay at Astor, FL for 2 nights then back up to Jacksonville, FL

Where in Astor are you thinking of staying? Its a VERY back woods area there... Its a ways to get to lake Monroe, as there are many no wake zones and manatee zones. If memory serves you would be looking at over 2 hours.

I was looking to stay at Castaways. Also thank you for the details their.

Astor to Lake Manroe is about 1.5 to 2 hours due to all the idle zones. Make sure you plan to stop at Silver Glenn Springs on the west side of Lake George which is about 20 minutes north of Astor. Over the years, Silver Glenn has attracked boaters from Tampa to Jacksonville on any given weekend. Haven't been there in a few years, but I'm sure it's still there. You can also stop at Blue Springs south of Astor and check out the manatees.

Silver glen is still there, but this time of year is starting to slow down considerably. The last 5+ years or so it isn't even close to what it used to be.
