Clearwater Still Negotiating For SBI Worlds

Clearwater seems like a really nice place from what I hear. However, will it have the tourist and nightlife features that a place like Key West has? Some of us planned our vacation around the Key West races. I'm not sure I would plan a vacation around Clearwater???? It would be easier to get to but I wonder what it's like down there? I've heard of the Tampa area having a lot to do but I believe Clearwater is a bit aways from there and requires driving.

Nothing like KW for week of partying...truly worth making it a vacation..

There' s places to party plenty of in both places...in fact at the first race ever there we went thru 4/5 venues in one night. But KW has an aura over it.

We go to KW every year but we probably wouldn't go to Clearwater. Key West would also be a lot warmer in November also!

Tampa is a 15min drive and a straight shot on 60 (gulf to bay) also downtown st pete is about a 20min drive.

Clearwater is no Key west nor will it ever be but they have added a few fun places to hang like a new beach side hooters, jimmys crows nest, shephards, and more.

Not much warmer. Nothing drastic at least...we are not exactly at the top of the state here.

Races need to stay in KW. Clearwater is a great place to retire or vacation with children but party, don't think so. SBI might, and I mean might attracted SOME KW fans year one after that good luck.

You do realize the Clearwater SBI race is the large spectator venue SBI has and is growing each and every year right?

There is plenty to party and do here. However it's not close together like KW is...heck there is almost nothing like KW except for KW.

People rant and rave about LOTO and I had a blast there This year but talk about a spread out place to party.
