Wanted to pass along an outstanding customer service experience I recently had with CMI. During our last run of the year lost water pressure to the port motor resulting in slight discoloration of the port bank header. Sent general email to CMI and received reply back immediately from Chris. He recommended I send the header back for evaluation. This generally results in the company calling you back saying, “it’s shot here's the cost of a new one". To my surprise, when I got home tonight there was a box on my front porch from CMI. Opened the box to find the original header polished like brand new.

I have owned CMI products for years but have never spoken to or done business with them directly. Because I was just a random customer with a problem I suspect that strong customer service is part of the culture at Custom Marine and not just an accident.

Thanks again Chris and Custom Marine!

Gary

Could not agree more. When I needed two sets of Headers last year,Chris spent plenty of time on the phone and emailing me in regards to "Header life".I bought two sets of Gen X CMI's, and couldn't be happier. There is some very useful information regarding water volume vs. water pressure. If anyone is in need of Headers, you owe to yourself to talk to Chris.

CMI has wonderful customer service! I needed an O₂ bung on one of my tails and it was a non event and it took no time at all.

Very unusual in today's business environment. First class company, I see why Mercury Racing partnered with them.

Hey Gerald, good to hear from you. Boat problems stink for sure. One thing I've learned over the years is that parts aren't cheap and downtime is usually significant in the wrong time of the year. Thought I was looking at a $10 - $12k repair bill, the CMI guys came through. You might want to give them a call. I also saw several sets for sale in the classifieds reasonably priced.
