Cory, ya see all types these days. It's so funny when we are out on the Advantage, pretty much everybody waves and stares. BUT, when we are out on the beater (a 20yr old party barge), when we wave at them, they just look away or ignore us. I'll wave to everyone, no matter what boat THEY are in or WE are in.... I'm no better than anyone, and no worse.... The very first time we took out the new boat, within 5 minutes of launching, we were pulling in a stranded boat that had been trying to get someone to stop for over TWO HOURS!! I'll help anyone, and only ask them to pay it forward...

I agree, I don't have a "big dollar" boat by ANY means, but, I enjoy it and will help out ANYBODY if they need, MOST of what you posted is what pushed me away from going to Poker Runs, especially the bigger ones, even if I was just their to watch there was just WAY too much attitude, I come from a drag racing background and the one thing I always enjoyed was hanging out with fellow "car guys" it didn't matter if you raced in Pro Mod (like us) or had a 13 second street car, everyone would hang out, I find that to be missing among many boaters. I also get REALLY sick of the "your a good guy,BUT, you have a Fountain instead of a Cig, or a Baja instead of a Sunsation" so I HAVE to hate on you! That's just childish.
I also find the it's sail boaters who wave the least and seem to be riddled with a sense of entitlement, not sure why?
Well, that sums up my cry baby rant, lol

I have been boating literally my entire life, I've owned my own boat since I was19, and have had quite a few since that time, 2-Bajas,Fountain,wellcraft,glasport,canyon-Tunnel,Glastron,invader...I remember growing up on Lake Monroe in Indiana and it seemed like most everyone waved when they went by. smiles were abundant and everyone rspected each other at the ramp, hey we all have troubles from time to time. Lately as a current Fountain owner feel more hatred than with any other boat? I like them all!!I have probably had a boat like the one you're on making fun of the my boat. I can only assume that now the a-holes have made it to the water...bummer really hate to see that. I had some old parts I was trying to sell but everyone was a scammer or wanted me to deliver...really if you want them come get them you lazy azz!! I say lets start having some fun again, if you see a guy struggling at the ramp help, him and don't just record it with your phone making comments and posting it to you tube!! We have a winter break here in Indiana maybe the hot shots left some water in their blocks...I can only hope..sorry for the rant...i wonder if this rant qualifies as a cry baby attitude..hhmmm

You know Cory H I could tell you all kinds of stories about towing or helping on the river but I think the best one is when a buddy of mine snapped the drive in half on his 25 Eliminator and my then future brother in law towed him in with a 14ft jon boat with a 25hp merc. As he pulled the boat out of the water the lower half of the drive was hanging by the rams. The drive got caught on a rock that was on the ramp & I sh!t you not the rock slid up the ramp with the drive resting on it. Got to the top & not a mark on the lower! To answer your question I think people must be stressing out on life because it's not just younger or older people being unfriendly it seems like a mix of everyone regardless of type of boat also. Could it be because the Cottonwood is gone & no more riverfront watermelons? IDK Randy

LOL. No Mike not directed at you, I have been parting out my old boat, you were very nice and did not ask if I would take 10% of my asking price. That is what I have been dealing with from other people. your welcome to tie up any day. Now that I'm thinking about it I guess that was bad timing to post my rant but I had a really nice B-1 on craigslist for 1600, and a guy wanted to know if I'd take 300 because he did not know for sure if it was good. Sorry for the confusion.
