Need Advice

Ok so I have a 1988 Baja 240 Sport (Outlaw Hull) that will have no motor in it. What do you guys think it is smarter to do:

Sell the boat and trailer minus just the motor?

or

Part out the drive and transom assembly and sell the boat on the trailer minus power, transom assembly, and drive?

The only reason I am considering this is cause it has a newer transom assembly thats tight, and a good bravo 1 drive. I also see alot of boats on the market listed with no power, transom assembly, or drive.

Just looking for some input

number wise its probably going to be about the same but I would think selling as a package would be best. the more stuff you strip off a hull makes it tougher to get rid of. at the end the bare shell is difficult to sell

List it for sale with a number of options that include with or without power, transom assembly, drive.

I sold my 24 sport 86 to a friend who removed the Teague motor and the ITS XR, it has new dash and new bolsters and new Edie tabs and he can't fine a buyer three years now.

A whole boat will sell faster then parts of a boat unless you price it like parts. But at this point I would do the option thing to see if you get any bites. Just know you are not going to get what you are thinking unless you are thinking low.

The way it sits I was going to list it for $4900, Its a 1988 Baja 240 Sport, so its the exact same hull as the early to mid 90's outlaw. Has 3 year old interior, gaffrig gauges, bennet trim tabs, bravo 1 drive with 23p mirage prop, and 70 hrs on new transom assembly. So buyer would need complete motor and exhaust. Would include a roller trailer with surge brakes, and electric winch.
