I feel privileged to be able to build such incredible boats for amazing clients. It has always been our intent to build a safe and fast pleasure boat for our consumers. We have also been very fortunate to have people like Doc Jansen and the entire Snowy Mountain team work very hard to win championships with our boats. We are very proud of their accomplishments and also feel honored to be involved. As for a speed record, this is just not the most important thing for our brand. We do not feel it is in our best interest to spend valuable resources on an ego competition rather than re-investing in new models. Also not sure my wife would approve! lol We are currently in the process of tooling a new 45' cat as well as a new 50' vee bottom, and have a substantial back log so we will stay focused on what is most important to the company. Thank you all, Mike Fiore |

First class post Mr. Fiore just like your products…….But c'mon man……slap some 1650's in Joe's boat and lets end this Kilo deal…it would nice to able to bring up an accomplishment and not have to endure the Kilo story a thousand times:lolhit:……..
Now let me remind u- my argument is from a competitive stand point only, & NOT how nice the boats are or who's still in business building boats!! |
No class Fountain guys.......

Mark thanks for the video. I absolutely am committed to my next boat being of the sit down variety.
Also I would be remiss if I did not add Sunsation to the list of manufacturers still working at building new boats - completely new boats displayed last year and this coming year in Miami |

Why do people have to be idiots you have a great boat manufacturer that comes on to speak and tell you the truth about what he is doing and people make dumb comments. Yes Fountain won a lot of races yes Fountain broke the kilo record, go buy one ?

Thank you everyone for the kind words. The Outerlimits team, Teague Custom Marine, Performance Trailer, North Coast Design and JBL did an incredible job. Even with the wrong props, the boat is faster and better handling then one could ask for. This boat has #8's, velvet drive/electric shift transmissions, 6 amps, 4 batteries, billet suspension seats, bumpers, 4 12" woofers and boxes, massive cross overs, MS-8 digital processor, cabin interior and a ton of clear on the boat for the wild paint job and the hull is rock solid. I didn't build the boat to be the fastest or set new records, but to fit my boating needs as well as to test some of our new concepts, each have exceeded my expectations.
I seriously have to tip my hat to Reggie for all the things he did for the boating industry. Love him or hate him, he was great for boating. His boats were fast and he built a bunch which helped create markets for companies like us and others. But lets give credit were credit is due. The economic downturn was horrific to the luxury market and wiped out far more than half the boating mfg's. But some such as Outerlimits, Skater, MTI.... made it and continue to create works of art and continue to develop new models and technology. When you sit in the boat, ride in it, drive it, walk on the deck, jump in the engine compartment, play the stereo, understand the DNA of the boat, then one could truly appreciate the difference. |

Ok that's one, should we go on with all the Race wins and Championchips, you guys still have your hands full with old Fountains on the race course... Also Fountain raced back when offshore racing was just that, and competitive, so ya you still all have decades to go!!
