It's a pretty small hole on the front of the drive to feed both
You'd have to put a check valve in line so the pump didn't draw air from the IC

Eddie-Did you just grind it out and spray on gel-coat? Or, did you add glass back then gel?

you would be suprised Rob. I have the same base Mootors as you, but sportmaster drives .. 10-12 psi .. 8-10n at cruising. Id have to look for a check valve but i donth't think so ..Chad

You'd only need a check valve if you grabbed IC water ahead of the pump and dumped IC water above the water line.
The Sportmaster has some nice PU's. My IMCO SC's only had one hole.
I still question feeding the engine and IC through them. Not only the PU holes but also through the transom assy hole. What's it, about 5/8"?
Trying to feed 1.25" engine hoses and -10 IC hoses with the transom restriction is something to ponder. I know it works, but I still ponder.
Other ponderings;
How does a 3/8" line hanging off a rudder cool a P/S boat?
Why do I need 1.25" through hull PU's to feed the 1" ball valves to feed the 1.25" strainers and raw water pumps? esp when it all came through the 1/4" hole I the drive bullet before?
If I installed a 600 gallon auxiliary fuel tank, how long would it take me to go from SF to LA?

pressure and volume.Kinda like a Prostcock hood scoop. Notice they are huge w a small hole.. Less area to crab air and cause drag.. Presurze a large hose for volume with a smaller intake for drag. hope that helps

I totally get the pressurization. Why run 1.25" through hulls if 1/4" was fine before?

I found a local place to rebuild (take out the entire middle section that leaks and just reuse the ends) for $1000. They say couple more hundo and they can make a brand new core.. I`m dying to find out what it comes out looking like cause CP wants $2400 for a replacement core. Its basically a radiator so i`m not sure what magic you get at that price..
Oh wait I just remembered .. ITS FOR A BOAT!

People say B.O.A.T. Bust. out. another. thousand. However . This is a wrong statement in our world.

In our world it is ...Bust. Out. Another. Tenthousand .. right ?
