NYC Boat Show '14
 

Anyone know if there will be any performance boats this year? Last year there was 1--a 353 Fastech.

If I had to guess based on the last 4 years, I would say no. Been dismal at the AC show too. Best trip to make is MIAMI, so many boats and equipment to see. Worth the trip everytime

I go to NYC every year. Kind of a winter getaway for me to check out the new stuff. But yes, NY, AC, Balt have all sucked for performance boats! I was going to hit Miami last year but the wife nixed that idea!! Man, I remember the days of the Philly show and NY show where there were tons of go fast boats! The good old days!

When is the Miami show?

It's usually in February

If there are go fasts, that is the show I want to attend. I have quit going to boat shows, all they have is pontoons, jetskis, and fishing boats.

Yes, people still buy wakesetters, but honestly, fiberglass boats are pricing themselves out of the market for the common family or the next generation is using Mom and Dad's boat instead of buying expensive little fiberglass open bow boats for themselves. Most young families don't own anything that will tow a boat anymore.

If this trend continues, there will be no fiberglass boats at shows period.

How sad is that?

OL & Hustler/Checkmate are very close by. You'd think they would be there! Superboat is too.

I'm pretty sure OL will be at Miami. The show is February 13-17... I will be there..
