they are running in and out of cell coverage, hense the reason for the spotty coverage. As for the pipes, they come out under the bustle so at the dock the boat is very quiet and then when running they come out of the water. Inside the boat you can talk at speed without headphones, very quiet boat

Jason Johnson is in Long Beach now. Russell and Rodgers are currently south of Santa Barbara. They had planned to be in Long Beach before 1 p.m.—Johnson has no information regarding the delay from the support team in Long Beach. His plan was to have a news story up today on speedonthewater.com, as well as a feature story on the home page of offshoreonly.com. Depending the team's arrival time in Long Beach, both of those stories may have to wait until this evening or tomorrow morning.

Speedonthewater.com is out on the Sea Tow boat awaiting the arrival of the Outlaw Offshore Racing team in Long Beach, Calif. Bob Russell and John Rogers are expected to arrive shortly after opting to bypass the stop in Marina del Rey.
