Smartcraft Not Recognizing Engine??

My smartcraft vessel view is not recognizing the center engine for some reason. It just shows --- in the RPM location when keyed on. The outer two engines are fine. I know it's not the vessel view itself because I plugged in another unit and same deal. As far as I can tell, all harnesses are hooked up on the engine side. I'm not near the boat for a couple of weeks but wanted to start getting some ideas what to look for. I have not checked the fuses but looking at the manual, it looks like it could be fuse number 3? I really don't want to have to tear apart everything under the dash so I'm hoping its something simple. We ran the boat in October and it was fine then ran in late November and it was not recognizing it for some reason?
