nope, i have been wanting to get back into a 38 straight bottom boat for some time. You know how our lake is, an old school straight bottom 38 x 8 is the tool for the job in this crap :D. I narrowed the fleet to the 16 Sidewinder, 21 Thompson, 27 Sport Mag, and the 38 Thunder. . . . oh and Keelhaulin if ya count that lol

Hows you winter projects coming?

I still think keep the OEM colors on the ScarabIII but do them in CF and get rid of the piping :cool: subtle things that hit ya in the face when ya notice them lol. The current colors go well with the black dash which is one of the things i liked most about this boat.

Funny thing when i first got the III i was bound and determined i was not gonna like the side by side bolsters and went as far as finding a set of standard bolsters before i even had the boat out for the first time. Well i never put them in and realized i really liked the side by sides. I never boat with any "dudes" as my group of friends all have there own boats lol and its always the GF in the other seat anyway. Ya get use to it real quick and i also kinda grew to like how it looks and also its functionality. .

ya know i was originally thinking a white variant (off whiteish greyish), black and blue but dont think they have a off whiteish greyish carbon fiber lol. I think i like that direction better silvercup/charcoal/that blue 500 :cool: should look good with the black dash and trim
