I had no idea fountain ever produced something like this.....

ratman 12-28-2013 03:04 PM

the add doesn't state how many strippers it will hold...

offshore312 12-28-2013 03:10 PM

Yeah, but it's a Fountain, so once you lose the beak & bustle it's a paltry 58'... (sarcasm intended)

I think one of the few 65s out there was built as Reggies personal boat.

she's a big 'un :D

were those original molds or was it a derivative of some other hull? Just curious really. Be a pretty cool piece to have to say the least. Anyone know where the other is?

1. That boat won't touch 65 mph unless being dropped out of a plane!
2. Is "Major General" an actual military rank?
3. Molds destroyed by a hurricane/flood yet Fountain continued to make boats in the same factory for another 10 years after the supposed damage?

i dont know about that... we cig owners might have a chance cus its not a stepped hull

mptrimshop 12-28-2013 04:29 PM

Is it better in the ruff than an Apache?

compedgemarine 12-28-2013 05:12 PM

there were two built but the hulls are different from each other by a little. the first had the steps moved all around and had at least 4-5 sets of engines from Cats to Issota's. the first one I know ran 63 as I was in it with Reggie when he took some people out at the factory. they never performed as expected and was a huge finacial loss to Fountain so they never built any more. I believe the first one was sold and bought back a couple times due to problems. this type of boat was way out of the realm of builds for anyone at the factory and proved to not be worth it in the end. stick with your strengths makes for more success.

So that's what a surface drive looks like! Hmmm, they look an awful lot like ... Never mind.

Level III Chaos 12-28-2013 05:28 PM

Another crappy cheeseball design by Reggie. :D

tim mccray 12-28-2013 05:30 PM

Suppose to read 9500.00 they forgot the decimal point.

Keith Atlanta 12-28-2013 06:52 PM

Dude, it would help if you actually CLEANED the boat from the party the night before.... maybe just a little quick pick up of the big junk prior to taking pictures.

I mean seriously! C'mon!

FWIW - you could buy a 2000 Sunseeker Predator for waaayyyy less than half that much.

gofastlvr 12-28-2013 08:59 PM

speaking of on Steroids... Reckon bill could be mistaking the steroids for Heroin? I might give 25K but I would be a little surprised if it would float!

KitePool 12-28-2013 10:13 PM

do twin surface drives usually have 4 rudders?

Unless that boat runs around doing a nose wheelie, can't see them being surface drives buried that far under the hull!

Might do 65. I have seen other yachts that perform like that. I even have old powerboat issues that have full spreads about pershing performance yachts that run 60+ mph. Why couldn't this one?

Yes, Major General is an actual military rank.

Is it not possible that only some parts of a factory could be damaged during a natural disaster?

And then spend the half saved fixing the Sunseeker. Predators are bad azz looking though:)

ironhead 12-29-2013 09:52 AM

that thing sat on national yacht liquidators site for almost a year with no takers, it was a repo, i was told it took a mile to get it on plane

I said it went 63 with me in it, I didnt say it got there quick. there was about 5-6 others on the boat with us and Reggie had us all go to the forward stateroom to help get it up and over on plane. still struggled to get rolled over but after that it ran OK. this looks like hull no. 2 which was better built than no. 1 that I was in. no 1had the step moved several times, multiple engines and props, cabnets changed and moved a bunch, etc. etc. I dont doubt they probably had 3-4 million into the first one by the time is was sold.
