Make real sure the standard layout MCOB is what you really want. We looked at them before buying our boat and most are a crawl-thru to the front, not a walk-thru. Looking back we are very glad we didn't get one.

what did you not like, mainly for grand kids and wife to get out of sun

I had a 32 MCOB and it was a great all around boat. Small block power ran low 70s, burned reasonable fuel and the boat was fantastic in slow/no wake zones providing a shady spot to hang out with a nice cross breeze while underway.

The headroom/height of the midcabin isn't much in most MCOBs and the seats are pretty much on the floor. The opening to the front isn't walk thru height unless my 3yr old was going up there.

I wanted something sporty/fun with a cabin for my son to get out of the sun and my wife wanted an open bow (which I hated the thought of but it is VERY handy). I thought we'd never find the compromise until she should me Baja 292 Islanders. Big mid-cabin and still a real walk-thru to the front. It's a similar layout to the new Formula bowrider. My 63yr old dad can go up front with my son while we are cruising and they love it. If I'd bought the Sunny, my father would never of been able to get to the front going thru the mid-cabin (he's skinny but disabled and can't get around well). After I got over the asymmetrical layout, I've loved the boat ever since.

Our 32 Envision MCOB has been an awesome boat for our family for about 5 years and 400 hours. Definitely not fast or sexy but very usable. I can step down and then back up into the open bow very easily. A head, c couple of seats, ans some storage cabinets in the cuddy is a great place to store your stash. I have even slept down there (legs go under the front seats). Lots of Envisions on LOTO as with a steep dead rise they handle anything. With twins you may see 70 mph.

I realy like the warlock rxi 23 and the world class 25 but not sure about the floor being wood looking to try and find a lavey closer to home not 1500 miles away

Checkmate makes a true 25' MCOB Convincer, they now call it a 27 BR. IMO the best rough water hull of all the boats mentioned. Don't think you could go wrong with the 25 Warlock either. I'd suggest sticking with a true MCOB and not a walk thru. The MCOB is structually stronger with less deck flex in rough water. Good luck.

80+ with 675hp. 100+ with 100hp. Quality? Off the charts. 2750 Lavey. BTW, the blue 24 in Lavey Jr.'s post with the 710 was built for me and after 2 years I sold it to a guy in Australia. The boat still looks great but speedwise I only could go about 89 or 90 consistently. Easiest driving boat I ever owned. Maybe they do kph in Aussie.
