twins is about 800 more in weight

My old 26 scarab run 87 with bravo1 would last about 15 minutes
ran around 82 0r 83 depending on the prop with XR drive (thicker gears)
and I could get about 50 hours out of that as hard as I ran the boat

To answer the question about the coupler I used a steal nose one and it never gave any problem

It does not have hydraulics as is now but I will be adding them when we get it all back together. I have a friend who is doing dual rams on his single bravo instead of the single ram he has now so I plan in using that. I've been told the standard bravo coupler should do the job but I'm still not sure since it would obviously be the easiest to swap that now before it goes back in.

i bet it's closer to a 1000 lbs or more, a bbc chevy for a car app is around 700 lbs, and all the coolers and other marine hardware and the drive and the lbs add up in a hurry...

That's what I was thinking too on the weight. I had thought about the cryo treatment as I'm familiar with it in the diesel puling side with a lot of guys using it on transmissions and rear diffs but wasn't sure if anyone had tried it with boats. It does seem to really make the gears last a lot longer though and at a very reasonable price compared to dropping money for an XR or BMAX.

I know a guy that may be switching out his BMAX drives this winter. Let me know if you're interested and I'll put you in touch with him.
