gdfatha,

Living in the Orlando area too I read it. They won't be happy till they make ALL the water Manatee zones.

I recently went up the St. Johns River. What a joke. If you start at Sanford and head north. It is either "No Wake" or "25 MPH Maximum Speed". Heck I got told I was going too fast. I was in my 1949 Chris-Craft.

Also, the river is dead, very few boats. Above Deland heading toward Lake George it is better in many spots.

A real shame.

Then someone put a chopper up and Counted over 5000 and a Friggin White one too boot.

Steve1,
The grass beds around the power plants are GONE, here in Brevard Co.
Make sure JEB knows how you feel this fall!

Default Steve 1

Of course "They" know how many manatees there are!
"They" are called Mote Marine Laboratory, and have been
doing aerial surveys since 1972 when a Manatee Act was
passed. Mote also does studies on marine grasses!
Dont beleive everything you read and consider the source.

Are you saying that Aerial Surveys are a Reliable way to count Manatees?
