Been there done that in Montauk. The rip at the point with the right conditions of tide, wind, waves is something to behold. Got stuck out there in a 21' Sea Ray a decade or so ago, had to surf those f'ers to the back side of the fork. Had on the life preservers, terrified, nobody in the boat said didley until we got back to the harbor...got lucky on that one.

I don't think that is after the 2012 Shootout. Maybe 2011 or 2013 or you guys left early.
2012 was mostly cloudy out on Saturday and Sunday and on Saturday a big storm was rolling in and everybody left at the same time trying to beat the weather.
Saturday 2012 was by far the roughest water ever leaving the Shootout.

Hey Q, how about the time we were coming back from Boca Island a couple years ago in my gun. Or LV the time we went across Lake Maurepas I know I saw the bottom of the lake a few times.

There was also a green bat boat that was running that stretch hard.. He blew past us then we caught back up with him when he lowed down. I believe he's a member on here.
