help 454 efi will not idle!
 

anyone know why 310 hp efi starts,but immediately shuts back off unless you pump and play with the throttle til it finally idles. then it throbs back and forth between 600 - 800 rpm's. also won't rev over 4000. sounds like it's hitting rev limiter?

throttle position sensor gotten accidentally unplugged??

By the sound of it thats where I would start ( TPS ),, hope its not the ECM.

can you pull a code out of memory like you can a car?do i need a merc. mechanic to do it?
