skater prices

I understand now why Bullock doesn't put prices on his ads, if he did he would never get a call! He is higher than a giraffes ass on those old Skaters .

I agree, I basically gave away my completely done skater for 175k 4 yrs ago. Happy to move it at the time as it opened up other opportunity's for me. Skater's are hard to find but 36 Nortech's are becoming more realistic. 2 different animals but big power and sixes for 150K that works for me.

Canopies are ok but a full windshield is the bomb.

Agree. Which one are you looking at?

Blume has a 2000 40 with fresh Sterlings for $180ish. It looks like to me the 40s an bigger are the best deals. The 36s are crazy high.

Supply and demand tend to dictate pricing. The 36 is a more sought after hull. Stands to reason they would command a higher price.

Thanks.

I'm never trailering. Stays on the lift at LOTO.

Funny, I just priced a new 368 with 700s. For that price I can keep my boat, buy the 2000 40 from Blume. Have it painted to match mine, get all new interior in it to match, freshen the motors, and haul it to Florida to leave full time. I see why the older boat inventory is dwindling. The new stuff is awesome but dayum it's high.

I also think the 36 NT is a great looking boat and you wont have to deal with the leaky tanks on the Skaters.

The same 36 Skaters have been for sale for a long time .Who wants to spend 200K and then have to cut the floor out of your new boat to get the tanks re-done? Plus the cost of the tanks and the down time.

Where is it going to be kept and August? WTF that means a lost summer. I would have mine done no later than Memorial Day.

They have the hull in stock.

Sounds like you won't be buying any of them. But someone else will, tank rework and all. It might even be Ron - but he'll pay half that amount.

Gosh. Cash is king. I wish I would have grown up in the 80s. Watch Cocaine Cowboys on Netflix. That would have been fun.

I have a nice '12 40 Skater with 1100 Mercs that should make a Skater lover very happy…. It's a very nice boat...

Yes

skater40 02-01-2014 08:55 PM

If you buy a older one,the tanks have to be done so the ethenol doesnt eat the resin. The cost to update the tanks (2) is $10,000.
Sounds like you might be happier with a Nortech-go for it.

January is the new Truth serum month.

LV 02-01-2014 09:45 PM

I purchased Mine from Bruce, I walked away with a great deal and the transaction couldn't have been any better. As far as Skater prices go, the last time I checked they still are not giving the 35 DCB or the 36 MTI away either, you get what you pay for the end! The 10k you spend on replacing tanks is penny's for what you will spend in a year to operate one of these machines and keep it maintained to a high level they should be maintained.

pslonaker 02-01-2014 11:57 PM

If you buy from Blume remember that he no longer sells for Peter and is on his own.
