Nice paint. Great theme.

Nate5.0 02-04-2014 12:03 PM

Think he meant to write 100mph on flat ground behind the tow rig.

MonkeySea2 02-04-2014 12:06 PM

Wait, WTF?? Says 95 upper? Looks like a Scarab II on top to me?? Don't recall a Scarab II being built in 1995? Am I reading this right that the put together the top 1/2 and bottom 1/2 from 2 different boats??

Crude Intentions 02-04-2014 12:07 PM

Wow. Y'all spend too much to go 100. 25000 and 100 is yours!

Knot 4 Me 02-04-2014 12:49 PM

Guys, it has Mercury Racing impellers. There's an extra 10 MPH right there!

HTRDLNCN 02-04-2014 12:54 PM

Dont forget all the work was done by Kachina,,
that makes it 100mph boat right there..

That's what I was thinking. Racing impellers have to be good for something. I'll bet the engine has a racing cam as well.

At least copy and paste the written description in case the ad is deleted!

30 ft Scarab - $25000 (Johnston, IA)

Selling our boat, it's an awesome boat. Here is the break down: 1985 30 ft lower hull (for strength, anyone who knows these boats understands), 1995 30 ft upper, (all Fiberglas work done at the Kachina Factory), new gel coat, graphics are designed by artist for Primo Clothes, they are Dawn of the Dead graphics, non like it anywhere, twin 468 big block with RPM Airgap intakes and Edelbrock carbs, Mercury Racing Thunder Exhaust, Mercury Racing impellers, Mercury Racing Bravo1 drives and Mercury Racing 26 pitch 4 blade props, stereo, speakers, sub, aluminum powder-coated swim platform...not for a beginner...it should hit 100mph on flat water...its on a 3 axel trailer.

dykstra 02-04-2014 02:11 PM

Wow!!!!:eekdrop:

12meter joe 02-04-2014 02:18 PM

"Not for a beginner" (clearly he races) "it's on a 3 axle trailer" (couldn't tell from picture)

Jamie B. 02-04-2014 02:19 PM

On flat water.

12meter joe 02-04-2014 02:20 PM

Oh my bad "it's on a 3 AXEL trailer"

On Time 02-04-2014 02:24 PM

"...not for a beginner...it should hit 100mph on flat water..." Yes, these non step hulls do run faster when its smooth...

Randy Nielsen 02-04-2014 02:43 PM

I hope nobody notices the speedo needle @ 50 when it's standing still. LOL, Randy

offshore312 02-04-2014 02:56 PM

Wow! They must have told him that the graphics were "an investment" and they forgot to use the word BAD with investment.... I'll give him $2500.00 if he removes the graphics. It'll be a great "conversation piece"...

Don't be a fool. You're looking at it all wrong. He's selling the family aspect of the boat here. Clearly it will top 140mph with a little air under it.

.

scarabman 02-05-2014 06:23 AM

Well, there you go. Guns n Roses only had 1 Axel, and look how much they were worth. This comes with 3 Axels. It is a VERY good deal when you look at it that way:lolhit:

3/4 race cam! He's not sure what the other 1/4 of the cam is used for.

Is a 15/16 can better than a 3/4, then? I'll call the owner and have him update the listing! Lol

Somebody else better call... I'm not a "people person", and between my laughing and taunting, the conversation would surely go downhill quickly.

"Yeah, I'm calling about the boat with the 3/4 race cam. I wanna buy the boat, but you gotta change the cam. I either race, or I don't. I can't do things 75%. Unless the cam is guaranteed good for the last 3/4's of a race, in which case it's a completely different ball of wax. I'm new to this boat stuff... Can I run full racing impellers with a 3/4 racing cam?"

mcprodesign 02-05-2014 05:51 PM

You guys are getting a little off track . Did you read the discription? The stereo has speakers ! :lolhit::helmet:

12meter joe 02-05-2014 06:01 PM

"non like it anywhere" Thank God!

And let's just pretend he meant none.
