Default New Powerplay 42-Foot Center Console Boasts Massive Cabin

Looks like the new 42-foot center console from Powerplay—on display at the Miami Boat Show later this week—will have all the comforts of home, http://speedonthewater.com/new-boats...-massive-cabin.

Love the engine placement idea wonder how it performs in the real world seems counter to everything everybody else does.

Any more pics? This sounds pretty cool.

...the engines are mounted to the extreme port and starboard sides of the transom, much as they would on the sponsons of a catamaran.

+1.............

While I admire the build and what Tom has done to revive the Powerplay brand, I really wonder though if there is a demand for this much boat in the CC market. It is huge, will need triples/decent size fuel tanks just to be relevant and the CC market already has a ton of boats like this from 41 Bahama, 44 Concept, 44 Hydrosport, 41 YellowFin, several Intrepids, the new 42 Midnight Express......there can't be that many buyers to consume the boats already offered!

This has to be a 400K+ built, then a 25K trailer, then a 75K truck to pull it or pay $800 a month to rack store it.......I just can't see that many 40+ ft CC's getting sold no matter who's name is on the side!

I would have liked that, too, but one wasn't available. I'll try for one in Miami.

As a OEM manufacture of marine interiors. I can say there is a rather large market for these boats. Yellowfin always has 2 or more 39's and 42"s in the rigging ling at any given time.. The same go's for Intrepid I believe they are on a 36 month back log and they have 6 lines with 4 boats in each line. between repeat customer and new money we cant build them fast enough.
