14' Lund fishing boat with oars, then 6hp outboard, after that came a 9.9 outboard followed by a 25 outboard. I then traded it for a 16' Lund with a 35 outboard with big mud flaps off the back to keep the water from splashing in as you back trolled. All this took place from 1973-1976. Damn I'm old.

My Dad had several boats while I was growing up. The First one I actually owned was a 74 Glastron 21' with a 455olds and a Berkley jet drive. I was looking at it and went for a test ride. We no more than got past the no wake bouys when he throttled it up and blew the engine......so I bought it!

First boat was a 25 Checkmate Convincor w/454, then replaced w/502 ran 71 on radar. Purchased in 90 sold in 94 then bought a Fountain 24 Competition series w/ 502 ran 84, was not happy with it traded for a 29 Fountain with twin502-500 souped up to 565 HP runs 94 and still have it today. Also have a 32 Fountain w/ 572s pushing 680HP ea. still dialing it in So far 96 but it seems to be plowing and only turning 5100 RPMS.

First boat was a 1967 Glaspar. Got it when I was 19. Now own a 1999 280 Velocity 502mpi. Quite a difference. Have a family owned auto parts store.
