I still haven't bought my first boat. Parents had boats all my life, performance boats from '91 - '05. They've downgraded to a party barge so at 29 years old I'm finally shopping for my own boat. :D

Well my first boat was a fairly humble affair. It was a steel pontoon of unspecified age(that means it was really old but no one knows exactly how long ago someone welded it up). It was about 12 feet long with a 60's era 25hp outboard engine. I was about 30 or 31 when I bought it.
Then I bought a 1988 Sunbird cuddy cabin with the 175hp 4.3 V6. Sold that last week and on this coming Friday I am picking up a 1988 Stingray SVS220 22' 320hp 5.7L EFI. I am 34 now.

My first boat was given to me when I was 18. It was an 18' 1968 Starcraft (yellow) with a 50hp outboard. Ran on three cylinders for years. Top speed around 20mph. My now, father-in-law was going to put it out by the road with a FREE sign on it, so I told him I would take it. I got it running enough to go mess around with for a few summers then I end up selling it. Took that money and put it toward a 1988 Ebbtide 18' with a 4.3I/O with OMC drive. That thing gave me more trouble then the Starcraft. But when it ran it was strong. Got that when I turned 20. After "swimming" it back to the dock one too many times I walked into the local dealership and bought a brand new Yamaha jet boat in 2005 (I was 22) still have that boat, but am desperately saving for my first offshore boat. Because I tend to drive the Yami how I would drive an offshore. Hoping to have a 29-35 fountain/donzi/sunsation within the next two years. I boat right by the Sunsation factory and have seen them out testing many, many times including the F4 (sweet boat).

My first, at age 21 was a 1974 Spectra 19' jacuzzi jet boat with a 455 Olds. motor. Bought it as salvage (sunk along the beach in Lake Mi.) There's something about flat bottom boats with no freeboard that just don't seem to work well in Lake Michigan swells! The Pantera is much more suited to the task! I couldn't be happier!
