First boat was a 1985 13'Mini-Hawk (minature of cigarette 38) with an 18hp merc. Still have it in storage. I'll never sell it. Last was an '88 22' Avanti with a 600hp Atlantic Motorsports BBC, B1. Sold it last spring, put all the $ in NASDAQ, some of you may know how that goes. I'm a salesman at Dick Simon Marine

Our first boat bought in the 80's was a 83 Baja 184SS. It came with a V6 & thru hull exhaust under the water line did 66mph, replaced with 350, osco exhaust with stainless tips above water, 75mph. Maybe a inch or so of boat in the water, but very stable. Very fast in its day.
Next, 24 Switzer, nice ride, lots of work to see the 75mph.
Finally, 1998 26 Sonic, custom ordered from the factory, unbelievable ride, still working on getting a consistent 75mph on gps.
Should be there this summer, plus some!!

Oh yeah, almost forgot the occupation part;
Domestic Engineer

My own first boat was a 12' aluminum Crestliner row boat from the mid 50's. My grandpa bought it new at a boat show. He gave it to me several years ago when he moved to AZ. That boat lived thru a few generations of abuse! I had a 7.5 on it, then used an 8 horse, then bought a new Honda 15 for it which was WAY too much motor. Sold that Crestliner last fall and bought a 14' Alumacraft for the motor. My first boat that went over 70 mph was a 1992 Checkmate, now I cant live without a fast boat.

First boat was a 79 Silverline with a 140Merc OB. Pulled it with a 3K car. Boat cost 4k. Then bought a new BAJA Force 235 for 30K and pulled it with a 24K truck. Both went 60+. What was I thinking? Anyway the BAJA is bigger bettet etc. but not faster so dropped in a 502 and am currently spending money on it. Will hit my mark this year.

Occupation: Keep the ol lady happy, settle arguments amongst children, unplug toilets, cook occasionally and fix computers in the mean time.
