truck comes with factory Tow-package, am I assuming correctly that it includes a tranny cooler.

I saw an aux. cooler and assumed it was the tranny, but figured it could have been engine oil also. Its pretty small..

Look again.
I thought the same thing, it's the power steering fluid cooler.
Unless they changed things since mine was built (1997) the oil cooler (oil to water) is engine mounted with the oil filter located in front of the left front wheel and the trans cooler is in the radiator. Follow the lines from trans and see where they go.
