no Pulse "Bravo" Package??

The lesser know pulse may be viable and may even have some advantages but it look like (From viviting their site) they have no bravo package which means moving engines, hatches seats, tranny in the engine compartment etc.

sounds like it's only viable if you're starting from scratch or replacing TRS's??

What are the dock manners- like my single inboard Ski boat??

Haven't heard anything positive about rudder boats yet, especially when it come to co-habituating with other boaters in marina's or other tight places.

My experience with ski boats is they only want to dock on one side. The side the propeller rotates to, meaning the rudder is useless.

I think the positive thrust of the propeller is a far better idea, especially when getting the boat to/from the docks, or coming into the launch.

Once I've collected the cold hard facts, I'll share with you. Here's my ASD-6, box and trim/steering cyls.

I've been told to remove any hook from the bottom, as these drives don't produce a whole lot of bow lift.

I've blue printed the bottom of my 1971 21' Classic Donzi in preparation for the new drive.

I like the external trim/steering, extension box and looks of the whole outfit. I gotta say the cool factor is way beyond a 10, IMO!

Does the trans really fit in the box or does it bolt to the engine? If it bolts to the engine how do you do it without moving the engine forward? How do you do a rear motor mount--stock bravo mount?

Cobra Marty,
The trans sits inside the box, but is mounted to the bell housing. I'm using a solid 1 pc. Gil rear mount. It fits between the engine & bell housing, then uses vertical angle aluminum to mount to the stringers. I'm not sure how the Merc. mounts work...

When installing and removing the engine, you would have to move it forward, but I believe the whole idea behind Arneson's ext. box is to retain the factory mounting location.

So bolt the trans to the bellhousing on the engine, install/slide engine with the front mounts in the stock bravo location (so the exhaust, hatch, wiring, etc stay in their stock location) and the trans goes thru the transom thru an enlarged hole and the box bolts to the transom ? thru the bravo holes or now holes. Bolt up the drive and go.
