Sydwayz 02-13-2014 09:17 AM

So, it's a 520 with headers?

Sydwayz 02-13-2014 09:21 AM

Tap on those new lowers at on the Cigarette Top Gun. See if they are hollow.

Heard they were coming out with a new modified #8 drive or at least lower unit for it...?

Lake rat Skater 02-13-2014 09:26 AM

You would think they would try to update the motors or fill in a gap between the 565 and 1100 as the 700sci is a little dated.

With the 520/525/540/565 lineup, Mercury is competing with itself. Weird....

If I had the cash I would still buy a ilmor 570 over all of those.

so, is the 400XS O/B is waiting for next year to be released? Any rumblings from Miami about the Xcat powerplants?
