I just bought a 29 CCX from Jeff Unriehl back on September 14th and have already logged 26hrs. It was purchased new (2014 model with 12hrs) with a ton of upgrades thrown in and so far it's very impressive to say the least....everywhere I go around Lake St Clair it gets a lot of attention. Great dealer and manufacturer experience! Solid entry level CCX! The 32 CCX is coming out soon but at an adder of an additional $60-70K you just can't say no to the 29 CCX.

Btw, the t-top is aluminum and I've had it up to 67 on GPS with the twin Mercury 250HP Verado's. That seems to be it's top end with these particular engines but it's sweet spot is 45mph which is giving me an instant 2.0mpg reading at that cruising speed. Cabin has two filler cushions not shown and it sleeps two no problem as it turns into an extra long twin size bed (I'm 6'4").

Whoops....correction made. Definitely the 34 CCX. Thanks for catching that. Zero reason to go for a 32 CCX from a 29 CCX. Very nominal difference especially in the cabin. Only 9" wider and 3' longer for an additional $100K....no thanks.

Is the 29 self bailing?

Yes it is. It has 2 scuppers just underneath the pulldown stern seat cushion. I just literally take the hose to it and wash everything down. I usually plug the scuppers before heading out on it but you don't have to.

I had a chance to sea trial a new demo 29CCX with 250's on Lake St Claire two seasons ago that Unriehl had launched for me. Joe also showed up. Really great guys. The boat is well thought out and rock solid in the rough with some nifty storage and the fold down aft bench. Only negative is they are still using wood in the build but can't deny they are making some awesome looking and performing CC's.

There's no problem with wood if the build is good, in fact I'd prefer it.
