The ultimate pushrod engine: Secrets revealed after 20 years.
2 Attachment(s)
Some of you may have seen some posts about this project that we did with Ilmor Engineering at Penske Racing in 1994. There is now a book about it, due out in April of this year. Having been a participant in the project and worked with the author over the last few months, even I have learned some details that I was not aware of "in the day". While the engine was restricted by the rules to a single-cam/pushrod design, the level of technology applied to it was mind-warping. It was a privilege working with these people.
For those of you who are not familiar with Ilmor Engineering, this will be a real eye-opener. Watch for a copy, and check it out: "Beast" - the book |
