Altitude at LOTO

Question, any takers? Does anybody going to LOTO know what the altitude is?

Chart 08-13-2002 03:25 PM

memory has it somewhere between 500 - 600 feet.

Shorty 08-13-2002 03:33 PM

Today it is...

... at 658.59 feet. :D 660 is full pool.

Do you want to know the altitude at water level or at the airport ....? Depends on how much water is in the lake, usually around 650. Today 658.63 water temp 85. What do I win?

Do you want that altitude for the UPPER end or LOWER end of the lake?;)

Shorty 08-13-2002 04:12 PM

And if you're adjusting your efi's air/fuel ratio mappings to come boating out here, say for the shootout, factor in a *lot* of humidity!!! ;)

Double D 08-13-2002 04:25 PM

Thanks Boys for the info. Yes, it's for the shootout, just need to make some minor adjustments. That should cover it, if not, I'll come back to ya.

Thanks Again,
Double D ;)

You probably need to know density altitude then if you want max performance. I would bet with 90 degrees and 60% humidity you may be up to a couple thousand feet in density altitude maybe more. All my plane stuff is packed away but some of the pilots on here could run some rough calculations for you.

It's not so high that beads fly better.......they seem to fall JUST short of some of the lovelys. If it were higher, they would fly farther!!!!!
