Here is one that could be had for less than the asking price.... Hell of a poker run boat.

Buy the 600s gun that usedboatsdirect has for sale. $99k at the run this weekend on a trailer. Use it for a season, and maintain it, you can probably get $90ish again.

Any TS Gun bought under $100k in good condition will be re-sellable.

Whatever you would buy you will have wished that you just brought your Skater down. It is an awesome boat, you know it, it is in perfect shape, and Native could freshen before coming back up to LOTO. One of Randy Kent's travel covers would go a long way in protecting the boat. Why hassle with another boat, 2 more engines, drives, maintenance, etc., etc.?

Now if you are looking for an excuse to buy something different, that is another story! As somebody else said, losing your ass is more about how you buy then how you sell.

I might know someone who has 353 Formula that might be trading/selling it for a CC before next winter season......................lol

But a 353 isn't a 85-90mph TS TG though.

I own a 38 powerquest and I would never consider taking it to Florida for either of those runs. The boat does the job but coming from your skater you will be horribly disappointed. It takes all I got to run with nor-tech cc's. But I'm more worried about overnighting and decent rough water handling than top speed. With that being said, I'd give up the amenities in a minute for a skater.

This is what I was thinking.

Well sort of :). I love doing deals and this is just another excuse. The Skater is a very expensive day boat.

I am very interested. I don't care about top speed. Just something that rides good, looks good, and sounds good. I know yours is immaculate.

I don't know if they actually sell, but Baja's seem to have ridiculous prices when you compare them to other better built boats.

Yeah but at 100K the sales tax alone (6% FL) will eat up 1/2 of his budget and that TS TG at boats direct has been for sale for 2+ years so that doesn't = easy resale.

On the lower end of the price scale, I have noticed Baja seem to really hold their value. I believe it is a name recognition thing..... I recently sold my 2003 Velociy 260 for well under what older equally powered Baja 24 & 25 Outlaws sell for..... Even though there is no comparison in build quality..... Formula seem to hold well as well, rightfully so.

Did any of the Baja's sell? Back in the day most of them were over financed. Baja and many others did very little down to buy a boat.
