Love, love, love this boat but his wifey says it has to have a cabin :drink:

I agree... But do you know of any for sale? :lolhit: Sure can't find any. He may have a deal working on a nice 311, courtesy of this thread. Keep them coming! Thanks guys.

-Artie

Are you sure the 311 is sold.

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/boa/4310859294.html

It has been listed all winter for 20g and just updated the ad three days ago.

ResQme 03-12-2014 09:39 PM

That Fountain in Calif. looks great and there's a 38' Scarab in the OSO classifieds for $38K great deal for that boat and its got a trailer. Looks like some of the best deals are out West.

I'm pretty sure he talked to him, maybe it wasn't that one???

Damnit Ryan, chime in! My PM box keeps filling up :lolhit:

88bullet 03-12-2014 09:49 PM

I think Ryan is on his way to Erie PA......

auto_werks 3.6 03-12-2014 10:03 PM

I did call the ad in Milwaukee this morning, the person who answered said they have it sold.
Thanks for the heads up on all the boats. I've seen quite a few of them, and made some phone calls. I really like formula boats and am talking to an OSO member with a really nice looking 311. Feel free to pm me with stuff to give Artie's pm box some relief. 30k + tax and transport is the absolute limit of what I'm willing to put into it right now, I need to save some money to throw in the fuel tanks this summer! Stuff that's over or is 30 without wheels isn't likely to work.
Thanks!

I agree 100%, I can't believe there hasn't been more chatter about it.

I figured since the buyer was not concerned about speed, maybe add some 502 mags and be only slightly over budget. Not to mention be in a plush riding 42!

BBSTEVE 03-13-2014 09:02 AM

I called about the 31 Ecxel and got pics..... Cockpit area is perfect, Cabin area is ruined (they estimated 2500 to repair/redo), exterior looks great from 50' away but has several scratches & scapes in paint, damaged rub rail in back both sides, dents in swim platform both sides.
I passed on it, but only cause I liked my other option better.....

Check out Performance Boat Center's web site, they have a couple older formulas and a nice 33' Sutphen that are priced around that range.

The Sutphen is mine, PM me I will make a good deal for it.

Don't think it was ever under. Just wore out, tore up..... probably just abused in a past life. Looks like last owner was own the right track by the way he did cockpit. Just never got to the inside.

Commander, I'd love to see some pics of that project and the final results if you have any. Your pm box was full.

How about a Scarab Panther.

Agreed..... That's about 25k under loan value. Even with a firm 30k budget, I believe I would just have to borrow 4k from a friend

The formula would make an awesome project for someone. Ryan passed because it's a little more than he wants to do right now.

commandersander 03-14-2014 04:19 PM

There is nothing for the buyer to do.

All parts there......just needs to be put together and I am doing it for the thirty in 30 days or I knock 10k off. Hard to shut the shop down for it, and it will totally clog the shop if I pull it in.

Pics here in a few minutes.....
