What Kind of boat do I have?

Hi everyone, trying to get my terms correct. I have a Baja 405 Performance that I bought 6 months ago and am trying to figure out exactly what I have, People ask what type of boat is that but I can't really answer them intelligently.
I have heard terms like:
Cigerette
Cruiser
Express Cruiser
Performance Yacht
Offshore Cruiser
and my favorite a Peanut Boat

Thanks again and any help would be great.

Performance cruiser

You already said its a Baja, so it can't be a Cigarette.

I've seen those boats. To me they're more of a performance cruiser.

Interesting question, I would call your specific boat a "Performance Cruiser," but my opinion is subjective. I have never-ever heard the term "Peanut Boat," that is a first, and I have no idea what that means, or could mean.

1. Your boat is faster and more sporty looking than a cruiser.
2. Not big enough at 40' to be a yacht.
3. Offshore cruiser is a pretty much what I called your boat.
4. Cigarette type, no confusing a Baja for a Cigarette.
5. Express Cruiser and Cruiser, do not fit the bill for me, I think of Tiara, Sea Ray, and Formula PC in that category.

Bottomline call it whatever you want, you own it, it is up to you, I don't think is really a wrong answer, for the general public, but for insurance purposes, to keep the annual premium low, I would call it a slow, safe, cruiser, but the insurance company(s) probably already have your boat categorized....I wonder what the insurance company calls it/classifies the 405 Baja as ????

We are talking about this model Baja pictured below, right?

cigar boat was the other term not Cigerette, thanks for pointing that out. What the hell is a cigar boat

Thats her. I have heard a couple of people refer to it as a Peanut boat becuse it's a peanut shaped hull. I think that calling it a performance cruiser is the correct term

I don't know what most insurance companies call it , I don't think they know what it is. Called Progressive and U.S.A.A. and they gave me rates that made my nose bleed. Called Geico and their rate was about 70% less with better coverage,

When asked I tell everyone "that there is a vessel for transport by water, constructed to provide buoyancy by excluding water and shaped to give stability and permit propulsion"\
