Time to replace wench...

It's time to replace my wench on my trailer. Where is a good place to buy one online? The only place around here for buying that type stuff is bass pro shops.....wasn't impressed with selection or quality.

Biggus 03-16-2014 12:21 PM

Lots of wenches to be found here. http://boston.craigslist.org/search/cas/?query=w4m

Sydwayz 03-16-2014 12:31 PM

You may want to shop for a winch, not a wench.

Fulton is the market leader. I just put the biggest Fulton I could find on mine last year. (Myco ships with Fulton winches.)

http://www.fultonperformance.com/con...ID=7940&part=0

I buy a lot of that stuff on eBay once I find the exact product I want on the manufacturer's website or similar.

CraneHillFast 03-16-2014 12:33 PM

You know as soon as I posted that I KNEW that was going to happen! Lol.

mike tkach 03-16-2014 12:35 PM

I guess I deserve that. I was debating whether or not it was an I or an E and I was too damn lazy to use a dictionary.

Cut me some slack tho, I'm multitasking today. Oso on iPhone, a 5 week old with an upset belly, nascar on fox and dogs wanting inside then out, inside then out.........

Crossett 03-16-2014 12:46 PM

Damn, I came in here expecting

and flagons of mead

CraneHillFast 03-16-2014 12:50 PM

I guess I should have started this thread in the XXX section.

Rick G 03-16-2014 01:04 PM

A wench on your Trailor would very costly. Where I come you pay for a wench by the hour . Also I am not sure just how physically strong they. But I must admit now that you mention it I may consider one for my Trailor.
RG.

we pretty much all need a wench upgrade every 5 years or so. newer model that hasn't been cranked too much. or in my case, an older model that has already gone through menopause.

Crude Intentions 03-16-2014 01:10 PM

My divorce should be final soon. So I have a slightly used one for ya!! Lol

CraneHillFast 03-16-2014 01:26 PM

Can I have those "sweater meats" in your avatar too? I am sure my trailer needs airbags....

so should we be looking for a new screen name for you?

Speedracer29 03-16-2014 02:26 PM

When it comes to wenches, it's cheaper to rent one than buy one.... And don't even think about buying used. Too many problems...

ChargeIt 03-16-2014 05:57 PM

Fulton F2, 3200# 2 speed WINCH.

Amazon has them priced about as good as anyone.

92nsx 03-17-2014 07:35 AM

eTrailer.com Good prices, plus they do a lot of there own reviews

WRONG... a good hearty wench can pull his boat up onto the trailer no problem, she can change tires without a jack too

does she come with a dowry?

Sydwayz 03-17-2014 10:24 AM

I think I bought a 3200 lbs. rated Fulton last year.
This one was not available then, else I probably would have bought it instead:

In Arkansas if a guy replaces his "wench" he looses his trailer:lolhit:

jvthundercat 03-17-2014 12:27 PM

Three pages and only one pic. This thread was a total disappointment.

I thought as soon as Amazon was introduced, that we could at least do some browsing.

ICDEDPPL 03-17-2014 02:18 PM

"if you have that kind of boat you should be able to afford a electric winch!!"
Some A-hole yelling at me cause I had it in Forward (idling, easier to winch up)) trying to get up on the trailer.

I have the F2 single speed.. its ok, but Mild has the 2 speed, its better.

For Thunderpu$$y:

This is the winch I have. http://www.northerntool.com/images/p...01_400x400.jpg
Works great! So does the wench, but Not about to upgrade her.

All I linked to was a pic of the winch. It's a #3000 Strongarm electric from Northern tool.

That one looks pretty sturdy, but if you really want a wench that can carry the load, this one might work for you:

bulletbob 03-20-2014 06:47 AM

I always get rid of the current wench, if there is one at the time, before Christmas and don't upgrade until after Valentines day. I need money for fuel!!! Sorry Crane I had to..........

You deserve a break on the winch spelling because you're the first one to spell "whether" in this context correctly since I joined OSO in 2007.......
